For three weeks this summer, we will investigate creatures and other natural treasures found right in our neighborhood! Each week, we will focus on a type of animal to research and observe. We will go for daily nature walks, curate nature collections, use tools for observation, and record our findings through drawings and writing in nature journals. Non-fiction books, stories, visual arts, music, and outdoor play will be woven into daily rhythms.

Brought to you by Ainsley Fleetwood, an educator, art-maker, and ukulele-player who draws on nearly 15 years of work in the traditions of Montessori and Reggio-inspired education. She deeply values the independence and interests of children and finds joy in observing their creativity and self-expression.
